Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
Boulder’s reputation as one of Colorado’s thriving urban centers means residents of the city are surrounded by a plethora of trendy restaurants, boutique shops, and lively bars and breweries to enjoy. Arguably one of the best spots in the city for hearty American cuisine, including prime steaks, burgers, and charcuterie, is the rustic Blackbelly, a farmhouse-style eatery and butcher shop that’s been serving the local community for over ten years and still draws crowds of foodies and chefs to peruse their unique meat offerings resulting from their whole-animal butchery program.
Breweries are undeniably the lifeblood of Boulder’s dining and social scene, with one of the most popular being the Finkel & Garf Brewing Co., where patrons can partake of high-quality craft beers in a colorful, relaxed taproom that’s the perfect venue for an afternoon out with friends. Another staple of the local bar scene is the Avery Brewing Co. which features an onsite tap room and restaurant serving drafts as well as elevated pub grub like brisket nachos and s’mores pies.
For a more refined dining experience, a visit to Oak on Fourteenth will check all the right boxes, offering patrons exquisite New American cuisine created using locally sourced ingredients, alongside an extensive cocktail menu.
Shoppers will enjoy a trip to Pearl Street Mall, where various popular stores can be found, including Carla Morrison Fine Jewelry, Lush Cosmetics, and Steve Madden.
